SUMMARY:Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 Briefing Session
DESCRIPTION:Enacted on Sunday 1st April 2018\, the Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 places a range of duties on local authorities and the NHS. This includes delegated responsibilities to Health and Social Care Partnerships through Integration Joint Boards. \nImplementation of the Act is underway and work is progressing. A range of briefing sessions at the Falkirk and Clackmannanshire Carers Centre\, 1A Bank Street\, Falkirk FK1 1NB\, have been arranged to keep staff and organisations up to date with the new duties\, implications of the Act and progress to date. \nBooking is essential for these sessions\, which will take place on: \n\nTuesday 7th August\, 3pm – 4:30pm\nWednesday 15th August\, 3pm – 4:30pm\nFriday 17th August\, 9:30am – 11am\nFriday 17th August\, 1pm – 2:30pm\nFriday 17th August\, 3pm – 4:30pm\n\nTo book your place\, or for further information\, please contact Falkirk Council by email: socialservices.training@falkirk.gov.uk
