SUMMARY:Carers Centre Professionals Information Afternoon
DESCRIPTION:The next Professionals Information Afternoon from Falkirk and Clackmannanshire Carers Centre takes place on Wednesday 17th November\, 2pm – 4:30pm via Zoom. \nThe information afternoons are open to professionals and students who want to know more about carers and the Carers Centre and the support available for carers (including how carers can access an Adult Carer Support Plan or a Young Carers Statement). \nThe events reflect some of the aims of the online (Turas) EPiC Training programme and National Occupational Standards\, as outlined in the Competency Framework for Health and Social Care Staff. They aim to: \n\nraise awareness of the Carers Charter and Carers Act\, and the responsibilities this confers upon the professionals in their role\nreview the role of Carers Centre\, how it can support carers and how this can be of benefit to other services\, with specific reference to the core principles of EPiC and the value this can bring to the cared for person\, the carer and the services participants work for\noffer participants the opportunity to explore different types of caring roles and how they can identify them\, and sign post them to the Carers Centre\, as well as helping them make effective use of Carers Centre Services\n\nThe event is held regularly on every third Wednesday of the month\, and is free to attend. \nTo book your place\, or for further information\, please contact the Carers Centre by phone: 01324 611510 (Option 4)\, or email: centre@centralcarers.org \nAlternatively\, for further information\, view the full programme on the Carers Centre website.
