SUMMARY:Care with Confidence: “Strathcarron History\, Stories and Events”
DESCRIPTION:Falkirk and Clackmannanshire Carers Centre has announced further Care with Confidence sessions for unpaid carers\, taking place Tuesdays\, 10:30am – 12:30pm. Carers can attend via Zoom or in-person at the Carers Centre\, 1A Bank Street\, Falkirk\, FK1 1NB. \n\nTuesday 24th January: “Strathcarron History\, Stories and Events”\n\nStrathcarron Hospice’s volunteer Ken will speak about the local History\, Stories and Events sessions he hosts\, along with telling some stories\, with a focus on Robert Burns. \n\nTuesday 31st January: “Epilepsy Awareness”\n\nAttendees have the opportunity to learn what epilepsy is\, causes\, triggers\, symptoms and the different treatment options\, and find out about the different responses to different types of seizures\, as well as how to recognise an emergency situation. The session will also cover the effects epilepsy can have on an individual\, and how to support those living with the condition. \n\nTuesday 7th February: “Technology Enabled Care (TEC)”\n\nFalkirk Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) has been looking for tools that would help telecare users retain some independence if their condition deteriorates\, including Technology Enabled Care (TEC).
