DESCRIPTION:Becoming a Trustee for charity is an exciting opportunity to lend your experience\, whether this be lived experience or professional experience to an important cause. \nAnyone can be a trustee – boards thrive when they have a diversity of skills\, knowledge\, age and experience on their board. As a Trustee\, you can put your professional skills into action to ensure the charity you’re volunteering for is reaching its goals\, running efficiently and planning for the future. Serving as a Trustee on a Board is also an excellent way to contribute to causes you care about as well as developing strategic and leadership skills and building professional networks at the same time \nThis November\, CVS Falkirk & District are running introductory information sessions on ‘Becoming a Trustee’\, which will focus on: \n\nWhat Trustees Do\nThe Various Roles Within A Board\nThe Various Skillsets That A Board May Be Looking For\nThe Benefits Of Volunteering On A Board\nCurrent Volunteering Opportunities Locally\nHow To Become A Trustee\n\nTwo sessions will be held\, offering one in-person and one online to suit availability: \n\nIn-Person Session: Tuesday 4 November\, 6:30pm – 8:30pm at the CVS Falkirk & District Office\nOnline: Thursday 6 November\, 1pm – 2pm\n\nIf you would like to join us\, please secure your place by emailing: info@cvsfalkirk.org.uk stating which session you would like to attend.
