SUMMARY:Alcoholics Anonymous Holyrood Presentation
DESCRIPTION:At the invitation of Rhoda Grant MSP\, Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) will be holding it’s free 11th Annual Presentation as part of an awareness event on Thursday 6th October\, 5pm – 7:30pm at the Fleming Room\, The Scottish Parliament\, Holyrood\, Edinburgh\, EH99 1SP. \nAA is free\, and they are not allied with any religious or other body. They work to help suffering alcoholics recover from the illness of alcoholism. \nThe event aims to help professionals and parliamentarians get a better understanding of AA\, as one of the organisation’s key objectives is dispelling the myth that it is a “secret society”.  They want to emphasise that while their members are anonymous\, the organisation is not. \nThe agenda includes: \n\ninput from professionals who have a wealth of experience dealing with suffering alcoholics\, and what affect their involvement with Alcoholics Anonymous has had\nreal life experiences from recovered alcoholics\na question and answer session from the floor\n\nThe event will also feature a buffet for attendees. \nTo book your place\, please visit the Alcoholics Anonymous website.  Following receipt of your acceptance\, an invitation card will be sent to you approximately two weeks prior to the event. \nFor further information\, contact Alcoholics Anonyous by phone: 0141 226 2214\, or e-mail:nso1@btconnect.com
