DESCRIPTION:Al Masaar is holding their 7th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday 3rd September\, 7pm – 8:30pm. \nThe event will take place online\, and feature speakers from grassroots education group As-Siraat. \nAl Masaar will chart their progress over the last 12 months\, including their COVID-19 Community Response\, and the inclusion of their consultation by the Scottish Parliamentary Cross-Party Group for Tackling Islamophobia. \nThey have launched their Parent Club to run alongside their Wee Steps group\, where parents can develop their skills and get ready for work\, and a new Autism Mums group. \nOther work includes advocacy and peer-to-peer support for families\, Home Learning Support and online fitness for kids. \nThey will also discuss their strategic aims for the upcoming year\, which include rolling out the racism survey for school pupils\, and furthering partnerships with Youth Scotland and Police Scotland\, as well as teaming up with the National Parent Forum of Scotland and the Falkirk Area National Parent Forum. \nTo book your place\, or for further information\, please visit the Eventbrite page\, or contact Al Masaar by email: almasaarcommunity@gmail.com
