SUMMARY:Adult Support and Protection Level 2B: Recognition and Response Training
DESCRIPTION:Falkirk Council’s Adult Support and Protection team have organised “Level 2B – Recognition and Response” training on Monday 20th May\, 9:15am – 3pm\, with venue to be confirmed. \nBookings are welcomed from supervisors of social workers\, residential and day care staff\, and various main grade staff (including newly qualified social workers\, Criminal Justice senior staff with supervisory role\, health visitors and police officers)\, with places also available for managers and senior staff in the independent sector. \nA full list of main grade staff eligible to take part in the training is available on the booking form. \nThe course aims to assist multiagency staff in developing an awareness of Adult Support and Protection issues (specifically to recognise\, report and record actual or suspected issues of harm)\, and to raise awareness of council and Forth Valley operational policies\, procedures and guidance in relation to the protection of adults at risk. \nBy the end of the course\, attendees should be aware of: \n\nthe legislation\, what is intended to achieve and the powers available\nhow it may affect their work\ntheir responsibilities and procedures\nclarity of their roles as a supervisor\n\nThis course must be booked in advance\, and all correspondence (including booking confirmation) will be sent via email. \nTo book your place\, please complete the booking form and return Evelyn McGregor by post: Falkirk Council Social Work Services\, 108b Glasgow Road\, Camelon\, FK1 4HS\, or email: asptraining@falkirk.gov.uk
