Falkirk Council are offering Activities for Daily Living (ADL) Smartcare courses on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd February at Camelon Education Centre, Abercrombie Street, Camelon, FK1 4HA.
ADL Smartcare is a web-based, online, self-assessment tool for adults, implemented by Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP). It helps adults or their families or carers to self-assess and self-manage their health, care and wellbeing, and enables people to easily access local and national information, support and advice.
The General Awareness Raising course is aimed at staff across all agencies (including Falkirk HSCP, Falkirk Council, Forth Valley NHS, Falkirk Community Trust and voluntary groups) who may be in a position to promote the use of the ADL Smartcare product to people who they have contact with, and staff across all agencies who may be a contact for people experiencing the low level difficulties associated with ageing.
The Practitioner Training course is aimed at staff in health and social care roles who may be taking referrals or gatekeeping product orders following an online assessment. It may also be relevant to supervisors or line managers of these staff.
