SUMMARY:Adapting to our Climate: Building Community Resilience in the Forth Valley
DESCRIPTION:Join FEL throughout November in events across Stirling\, Falkirk\, Clackmannanshire\, and the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park to explore what adaptation measures could be used in your community. Each session will include a snapshot of the relevant policies and plans in each locality and their relevance for community organisations. There will be the opportunity to provide input and steer the direction of the upcoming FEL Climate Leadership programme as well as more information on how to apply. \nThe Falkirk event will take place on Friday 22 November 2024\, from 10am – 2pm\, at Forth Valley Sensory Centre (FK1 4DD). During this event\, you will consider tools and best practice\, and delve into how they can help us to evidence the need for climate adaptation\, implement community-level actions\, and find ways to collect and share data across the region. \nThe day will be split into four sessions\, with a break for lunch: \n\n10:00 – 12:00 Adaptation and Capacity Building Discussion and Input\n12:00 – 13:00 Understanding the climate plans and policies in your area\n13:00 – 13:20 Leadership programme\n14:00 – 14:30 Tour of the Forth Valley Sensory Centre\n\nThe event is free\, however registration is required – and they ask you to please email climate@felscotland.org if you have any food allergies. This event is funded and delivered through The Scottish Government’s Climate Action Hub at FEL Scotland. \nFor further information\, and to book your space\, please visit their Eventbrite page.
