The Citizens Rights Project (CRP) has developed 7 new factsheets in different languages to help EU citizens access their rights in Scotland:
- Universal Credit
- Housing
- Pensions
- Social Security Rights
- Access to Benefits
- Maternity Rights
- the Right to Work
CRP is an Edinburgh-based organisation, working across Scotland to provide information, advice and support to EU citizens in Scotland about their rights after Brexit.
The new factsheets are designed to be user-friendly, using simple, accessible language to explain a number of essential rights for EU migrants, and how they can be accessed, along with resources for further support and guidance.
Currently, 4 factsheets have been translated into 8 different languages, with funding being sought to translate the final 3 (Pensions, Maternity Rights, and the Right to Work) and include additional languages. Thanks to funding from Scottish Government and the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO), factsheets have been translated into the following languages:
- Bulgarian
- English
- Hungarian
- Italian
- Latvian
- Lithuanian
- Polish
- Romanian
- Spanish
