Enable Club 18-30

Enable Club 18-30 is a group for people to rekindle old friendships and make new friends in a safe environment.

The group meets on Tuesdays 7pm – 9pm at the Elgin Park Centre, Elgin Place, Falkirk, FK1 1QN.

There are various activities for club members to take part in, including:

a weekly disco
a hair, make-up and nail bar
indoor and outdoor games
a kitchen and café area
an arts and crafts room
exercise classes
drumming, live bands and DJ equipment

LGBT Youth Scotland Youth and Community Development Officer Vacancy

LGBT Youth Scotland (LGBTYS) is currently recruiting a Youth and Community Development Officer for the Forth Valley area. The position is 37 hours per week, £24,173 – £26,762 per annum and based in Stirling. Applicants should have an understanding of LGBT identities and inclusion, equality issues, youth participation and community engagement, along with a degree in a relevant subject, or relevant experience, and experience of working with and supporting LGBT youth. The deadline for applications is 4pm on Wednesday 4th December.

Social Enterprise Day 2019

Social Enterprise Day 2019, organised by Social Enterprise UK, is on Thursday 21st November, and is part of Global Entrepreneurship Week (Monday 18th November – Sunday 24th November). As part of this, Social Enterprise UK will be running #WhoKnew, a global digital campaign taking place across social media platforms. The campaign provides social enterprises the opportunity to tell their stories, show what makes them different from traditional businesses and highlight the impact of their work.

Consultation on European Structural Funds Replacement Vehicle

Scottish Government is conducting a consultation seeking views on how a replacement funding vehicle for the European Structural Funds could best meet the needs of communities in Scotland. The deadline for responses is Wednesday 12th February.

Cyrenians SCCR 2020 National Conference

The Cyrenians’ Scottish Centre for Conflict Resolution (SCCR) is holding their free national conference, “The Faces of Transition”, on Wednesday 29th January at the Radisson Blu Hotel, 80 High Street, The Royal Mile, Edinburgh, EH1 1TH. Inspired by the Roman god Janus, “The Faces of Transition” will focus on themes of beginnings, transitions, time, duality and how the past can impact the future, but does not define it.
