In response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, and support from the Wellbeing Fund, BEMIS Scotland’s Ethnic Minority National Resilience Network (EMNRN) has initiated a pilot multicultural counselling service, running until the end of July.
The EMNRN Counselling and Befriending Service is open for referrals (which can be made through the online form), and focuses on supporting mental health needs for ethnic minority individuals and families, by providing multilingual culturally- and religiously-sensitive counselling support, and facilitating complementary conduits to mainstream provision.
Counselling will be delivered remotely by telephone or online (via WhatsApp, Zoom, or Skype), and in line with the ethical standards of BACP and other counselling authorities.
