Early Learning and Childcare Innovation Awards

The Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) Innovation Awards are now open for applications.

The awards celebrate and highlight innovative initiatives which improve children’s learning, and provides funding and support to further develop them.

Any setting delivering funded ELC can apply for a grant of up to £5,000 to develop their innovative practice.

Up to 10 successful settings will receive funding, training and support from experts to improve and share their success at a national level.

The deadline for applications is Monday 13^th January.

Forth Valley Top Toes Reception Volunteer

Forth Valley Top Toes provides a personal foot care service to older and disabled people who have no underlying medical conditions but are unable to cut their own toenails. They are currently looking for additional Reception Volunteers to provide on-site reception for the clinics, welcoming clients, making new appointments, collecting donations and providing a friendly face for the clinics.

Forth Valley Top Toes Personal Footcare Volunteer

Forth Valley Top Toes provides a personal foot care service to older and disabled people who have no underlying medical conditions but are unable to cut their own toenails. They are currently looking for additional Personal Footcare Volunteers to provide basic personal footcare to clients (this includes performing a basic foot health check with each client toenail cutting, skincare and footcare advice). Volunteers are fully trained by NHS Forth Valley, through formal sessions and shadowing a NHS podiatrist, with induction training provided by Forth Valley Top Toes.

Social Security Scotland Client Support Adviser Vacancies

Social Security Scotland is currently recruiting a number of Client Support Advisers across Scotland, including one based in Falkirk. The position is 37 hours per week, with a salary of £25,367 – £28,341 per annum. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 Highers or equivalent qualifications, and should be able to work independently, with excellent interpersonal skills. A full UK driver’s licence and use of a car is essential, due to extensive daily travel. The deadline for applications is midnight on Tuesday 4th February.
