NHS Scotland have organised focus group sessions for parents and carers, the week beginning Monday 22nd August, 6pm – 8:30pm. Locations will be announced closer to the time.
The main topic of discussion will be, “Having an honest, open conversation with your child about drugs and understanding the risks.”
The focus groups are aimed at those who have, or care for, young people aged 12-15 years old, and help them be confident and informed when having a conversation with their child about drugs. There will also be discussion are how to encourage young people to increase their health and wellbeing through involvement in positive activities, in order to create better communities and contribute to a healthier, fairer Scotland.
NHS Scotland hope to use the thoughts and points raised during the focus groups to improve and update their health promotion resources for parents and carers on drugs and young people.
Participants will also receive a complimentary £10 Boots voucher to thank them for their input and feedback.
