Police Scotland are holding a Doorstep Crime Initiative from Tuesday 26th April to Monday 2nd May. The Initiative focuses on enforcement and preventative work, and reflects the guidance document issued earlier in the month, outlining guidance on how to deal with doorstep crime.
They are also interested in arranging presentations with groups and organisations in order to raise awareness, particularly those dealing with older or vulnerable people.
Doorstep crime includes bogus callers and rogue traders, who often try to gain information or entry to homes under false pretences and are active throughout the year.
