The Dolphin Club are looking to recruit volunteers for their dedicated swimming sessions for people with special needs, physical disabilities or anyone recovering from a stroke, injury or arthritis.
There is no age limit for this opportunity, youngsters to senior citizens are all welcome. Volunteers can assist swimmers with disabilities or special needs on a one to one basis or by coaching from the side. Assistance is also needed to serve light refreshments.
It is not necessary to be an expert swimmer but patience and empathy with the “clientele” is paramount. This is a very happy club and comments from present helpers would confirm that whatever input they make is doubly returned in enjoyment and satisfaction.
Volunteers are expected to pay £1 each session upon arrival – this covers tea, coffee, biscuits and use of the pool.
If you would like further information regarding this opportunity, please contact the Volunteer Team on 01324 692000 or email info@cvsfalkirk.org.uk
