St Andrew’s First Aid have been awarded funding to deliver their Ready for Life programme in Falkirk between March – May 2024. They have 7 programmes available to deliver, that’s 84 young adults (16-24) that could enter the world of work with 2 sought after workplace qualifications.
The Ready for Life (RFL) programme is a two-day course suitable for any young person 16 years to 24 years old. Upon completion, participants receive two industry recognised qualifications which are valid for 3 years. These are the Emergency First Aid at Work (SCQF6) and First Aid for Mental Health Awareness (SCQF4) certificates. Both of these qualifications can be included in a young person’s attainment record. The maximum number that can attend a course is 12, and these need to be the same 12 that attend on the first day as on the 2nd day.
More information can be found in the RFL brochure and impact report (linked for your convenience).
Their Community Engagement Trainer would like to hear from third sector organisations in Falkirk who have service users that may be interested in taking part in the RFL programme. The Trainer would come out to your venue to deliver the programme.
Programmes can be booked for delivery anytime between now and end of May, so please e-mail community@firstaid.org.uk to indicate interest for your service users to take part in the programme.
