In 2019, Foundation Scotland launched the Denny Fund Forum as a pilot approach to enabling further community involvement in Denny and District Community Fund delivery and decision-making.
The Forum was made up of previous grant awardees from the Denny and District Community Fund, who convened to share learning, inform decision making and support the shaping of future priorities of the Fund. During 2019 – 2020, the Forum convened 8 times and made 21 awards totalling £136,456. The Forum awarded 7 projects at the top level of £10,000 for a variety of projects (including refurbishment, making venues more accessible, cycling facility, running costs).
The Fund provides grants to support charitable activities that:
- enhance quality of life for local residents.
- contribute to vibrant, healthy, successful and sustainable communities.
- promote community spirit and encourage community activity
The Fund is open to groups and organisations based in Denny and District or working with people in Denny and District, with funding rounds throughout the year. Grants may support a wide range of costs, for example: the costs of equipment, staff or sessional workers, consultations, running costs for local groups, maintenance or refurbishment of community facilities.
2021 deadline dates:
- Friday 25th June
