The Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) and Scottish Government are currently carrying out a joint Local Governance Review, aiming to increase local communities’ involvement in public sector decision making.
To round off “Democracy Matters” (the review’s engagement phase), they are holding a series of regional community events, with the next in Glasgow on Thursday 29th November at The Albany Learning and Conference Centre, 44 Ashley Street, Glasgow, G3 6DS. Attendees can book a place at either timeslot:
- 12pm – 2:30pm
- 5:30pm – 8pm
The event aims to give communities more information about the review, discussing emerging themes from their Democracy Matters community consultation and allowing communities to give their views and ideas about how decision making can be brought to a community level.
