Community groups in Scotland can apply for a Development Grant of up to £20,000 from Cycling Scotland to help them overcome barriers to cycling and work towards becoming a Cycle Friendly Community.
The grants will also help the creation of a nationally recognised Cycle Friendly Community Award scheme following four pilot projects that were held in Kingussie, Neilston, The Black Isle and Falkirk.
Funded projects must lead to more people cycling in communities across Scotland, helping deliver the Scottish Government’s vision of 10% of all journeys being by bike by 2020.
The deadline for applications is Friday 30th October but they are being assessed on a first come, first serve basis, until all available funding is allocated. So it is advisable to submit applications early.
