CVS Falkirk are recruiting volunteer receptionists to join their office.
The volunteer receptionist will act as the main point of contact for CVS Falkirk, welcoming and assisting visitors, and providing a quality customer service over the telephone and on a face-to-face basis.
This role will mainly involve welcoming visitors, directing them to the appropriate member of staff, and answering a busy switchboard to a specific standard, redirecting calls to the appropriate member of staff and taking messages.
As well as the above, the receptionist’s main duties will include:
- logging incoming mail and distributing it to members of staff
- collating and processing outgoing mail for disposing at the nearby post box
- keeping stock control of the stationery
Occasionally, the CVS Falkirk meeting room is booked by external organisations and clients, and volunteers may be asked to set up the room and clear it at the end of use.
Other general admin duties may also be required such as filing, typing, data input and photocopying.
Volunteers will be given an introduction to the organisation, premises, the staff, housekeeping and health and safety. Informal training will be given in regards to the individual volunteer’s assigned duties. Support will be available from the CVS Falkirk staff at all times.
This opportunity is for volunteers aged 16 years old and over, and is based at the CVS Falkirk office in Unit 6, Callendar Business Park, Callendar Road, Falkirk, FK1 1XR. Public transport expenses will be reimbursed for travel to and from the CVS Falkirk office or any other activity the volunteer is involved in as part of their role; for drivers, 45p per mile can be claimed.
