The Central Scotland Regional Equality Council (CSREC) are currently recruiting a Dementia Project Worker.
The position is 17.5 hours per week, with a salary of £25,000 – 25,750 (£12,500 – £12,875 pro-rata), which is a fixed term position funded until Thursday 30th April 2020. The successful candidate will deliver the key outcomes of their “Dementia and Care in Our Communities” project funded by Life Changes Trust.
The objectives of the “Dementia and Care in Our Communities” are as follows:
- to study and develop an understanding of the extent and impact of dementia on the lives of affected individuals from South Asian, Chinese and East Asian, African and Afro-Caribbean, Polish, East European, and other ethnic minority backgrounds
- to study and develop an understanding of the impact on the lives of paid and unpaid carers of those of South Asian, Chinese and East Asian, African and Afro-Caribbean, Polish and East European and other ethnic minority backgrounds living with dementia
- to provide information to those living with dementia and their carers on relevant dementia-related services and, where necessary, support them to access these services
- raise awareness about dementia within the larger South Asian, Chinese and East Asian, African and Afro-Caribbean, Polish and East European communities and other ethnic minority backgrounds
