Outside the Box has developed a free interactive session for community groups, Contacting Your Elected Representatives, as part of their Connecting Equalities project.
Connecting Equalities aims to promote the rights of older people in Scotland, and offers free training to community groups and professionals. Contacting Your Elected Representatives is designed to be a relaxed, interactive session, where the Outside the Box team covers how local councillors, MSPs and MPs work, the difference between their roles, and how to contact them effectively. The session is approximately two hours long (though this can be adapted to suit group times and size), and can be delivered in-person or online to a maximum of 12 people per session.
