Scotland’s Third Sector Governance Forum brings together a range of people with knowledge and expertise in governance issues.
They are currently consulting on their new draft version of the Scottish Governance Code for the Third Sector (Code), and have opened an online survey.
The Code is designed to be read online alongside various resources documents, templates and guidance, and to be used in order to have practical discussions around governance. The Code sets out 5 core principles and key elements of good governance for the boards of charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises in Scotland, and is aimed at the boards and trustees of these different types of organisations.
The Forum hopes that the Code reflects and celebrates the wealth of good practice that exists in the sector and provides a standard for all to aspire to. They are looking for as wide a range of feedback as possible.
