Falkirk Council is inviting people to share their views on the Draft Visitor Levy Scheme proposals for Falkirk District.
The scheme would introduce a charge on overnight stays in paid accommodation in the area. Under the Visitor Levy (Scotland) Act 2024, any funds raised will be invested in supporting local services, facilities and infrastructure which benefit local communities and visitors. Falkirk Council has launched an online consultation to gather feedback from local people, community groups, business owners, accommodation providers, visitors, and anyone with an interest in the area. The consultation will help inform a decision on whether a Visitor Levy should be introduced in Falkirk and, if so, how it should operate.
As part of the consultation process, Falkirk Council will also be holding drop-in sessions for people to submit their feedback in person. The first session will take place on Tuesday 15 September 2026, 4pm – 7pm, at the Falkirk Delivers office, 104 High Street, Falkirk, FK1 1NW.
The closing date for response is Wednesday 25 November 2026.
To submit your response, or for a full list of drop-in sessions, please visit the Participate+ page. For further information, visit the Falkirk Council website, or contact the consultation team by email: VisitorLevy@falkirk.gov.uk
