CVS Falkirk is committed to providing a platform for third sector organisations in Falkirk to engage with the community planning process. In an effort to extend this engagement, we have set up new dedicated third sector forums that will reflect the themes of the Community Planning Partnership.
These forums will offer the opportunity for local third sector organisations to discuss, debate and put forward their views, opinions and comments on the key issues from their area in the community planning process.
The following new forums have been set up:
– Sustainability in Falkirk
– Economic recovery and growth
– Safer Communities
– Community transport
We are seeking representatives of local third sector organisations who have an interest in one or more of these issues to join us and strengthen the voice of the third sector in Falkirk. The outcomes of the forums will be taken forward into the relevant Community Planning Partnership meetings.
Initially, we plan for the new forums to meet at least quarterly. This may change, dependant on the nature of the issues to be worked through the forums.
If you are interested in participating in one of the new forums, or would like some further information regarding the forums, please contact David Gardener, Development Officer – Policy, Research and Community Planning by email at david@cvsfalkirk.org.uk, or by phone on 01324 692010.
The forums are open to representatives of third sector organisations in Falkirk, both paid and unpaid, who provide services in areas relating to the forums. You are more than welcome to join the forum on the day, but we do ask if possible for you to register your interest.
