A new scheme, which encourages outdoor enthusiasts to volunteer in order to help keep an eye on their local paths, is being launched by Falkirk Council’s Ranger Service.
As a volunteer Path Warden, you will volunteer with the existing outdoor access team to ensure paths are accessible and safe. Volunteers don’t need to be access experts, just enthusiastic about exploring the local path network.
Two days training will be provided, including subjects such as survey techniques, health and safety, first aid and information on local attractions.
The Path Warden scheme is open to anyone over the age of 18 who can volunteer four times a year to patrol their dedicated route or path.
