Children in Scotland (CiS) is looking for 2 individuals with appropriate experience and knowledge of financial management and of digital operations to join its Board of Directors.
Please note that these positions are non-remunerative and ask for a commitment of approximately one day per month. The Board meets 5 times per year, including the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in November.
A term on the Board is 4 years, and each Board member can be on the Board for up to 2 terms (8 years).
In the role of Digital Director, CiS is looking for an individual with relevant skills and experience to help them understand and take advantage of the many digital opportunities and challenges (especially in the light of COVID-19) that they wish to develop and incorporate in their developing digital strategy.
For the Financial Director, those interested should have relevant financial management skills and experience to help CiS better support the Board and senior staff team as they navigate the environment created by COVID-19, and beyond the post COVID-19 environment.
Both Directors should have a broad understanding of governance issues, responsibilities and regulatory requirements, and an interest in improving the lives and childhoods of all children and their families. Previous experience of committee work would be advantageous.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on Wednesday 29th July. Interviews will be held the week commencing Monday 10th August.
Further information is available in the role and person specification document.
If you have the relevant skills and experience and you believe you can support Children in Scotland to develop and build on its track record, especially in the challenging impact of COVID-19, they would like to hear from you.
To apply please send the following to the CiS team by email: recruitment@childreninscotland.org.uk
