The National Lottery Community Fund has launched a new programme offering support for community-led projects which help make a positive difference to the environment. The Small Eco Awards programme is intended to encourage practical local action and support activities which contribute to environmental sustainability while delivering benefits for communities. Organisations can apply for grant of £300 – £20,000, and can expect to receive a decision within 12 weeks of submitting their application.

The Schroder Charity Trust’s 2026 funding round opens on Saturday 1 August 2026. The Trust supports charitable work under two priority areas: helping disadvantaged children and young adults to achieve their potential in education and employment; strengthening communities through services and opportunities that improve wellbeing and life outcomes for vulnerable and disadvantaged people. Grants of up to £5,000 are available for core or project revenue costs for a one year period. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 30 September 2026.

The To Absent Friends 2026 Small Grants Scheme is open for applications ahead of the annual festival. To Absent Friends is a festival of storytelling and remembrance, taking place across Scotland 1 – 7 November each year. The Small Grants Scheme offers grants of up to £275 to support organisations to participate in the festival. The festival team will be hosting an informal lunchtime session on Wednesday 19 August 2026, from 12pm via Zoom, open to anyone who would like to discuss getting involved. The deadline for applications to the Small Grants Scheme is Wednesday 2 September 2026.

The deadline for the GSK Community Health programme is approaching, with applications closing at 5pm on Monday 10 August 2026.

The Centre for Sustainable Energy is a national, independent energy charity based in Bristol. Through its Safe & Warm Grassroots Communities Scheme, it offers funding to small, grassroots organisations to provide energy saving advice and support to vulnerable households, helping them stay safe and warm. Grants of £8,000 – £14,000 are available. The deadline for applications is 11am on Monday 10 August 2026.
