YouthLink Scotland, the national agency for youth work, is now receiving applications for the latest round of the Scottish Government’s CashBack for Communities Youth Work Fund, for projects delivered between Monday 1st April 2019 and March 2020.
They welcome proposals for the delivery of targeted youth work activity programmes, which provide diversionary youth work activities for young people (10 – 24 years) who face one or more forms of disadvantage, such as:
- living in areas of deprivation (priority will be given to projects working in communities within the top 20% Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD) areas)
- being unemployed, not in education or training
- being excluded, or at risk of exclusion from school
- being at risk of being involved in antisocial behaviour, offending or re-offending
A total of £700,000 is available.
The deadline for applications is 1pm on Friday 7th December.
