The Central Scotland Regional Equality Council (CRSEC) is hosting a 2 day course on Carbon Literacy for Communities, with training delivered by Keep Scotland Beautiful, on Tuesday 12th June – Wednesday 13th June, 10am – 4pm at Falkirk Fire Station, Westfield, Falkirk, FK2 9AH.
The course is aimed at anyone from a community-led organisation which is interested in taking action on climate change, and is free to attend, but participants will have to pay for their certificates.
Carbon literacy means having an understanding of the carbon impacts of activities, and being able to make informed choices about the most energy and resource efficient and lower carbon options available.

- the basics of climate science
- current and likely impacts of a changing climate
- how to communicate climate change
- where carbon emissions come from, exploring ways to encourage and support others to take steps to reduce their carbon footprint
