The Butterfly Trust are looking for befriender volunteers to meet with young people living with Cystic Fibrosis regularly, in order to build a trusting, one-to-one relationship. This will allow the young person space and a suitable environment to explore their feelings, discuss their fears and develop their self- esteem.
Volunteering is a fantastic way to make a difference to the life of someone else. It can also be an incredible opportunity to enhance your own life and build new skills to help your personal and career development. Young people living with Cystic Fibrosis can face a variety of challenges that disadvantage them socially, financially and in the workplace. Their restrictions on their lifestyle can leave them isolated and sometimes struggling to cope.
This opportunity takes place across the Falkirk area and can be flexible to your lifestyle. It is open to those aged 19 with expenses being paid.
For further information regarding this opportunity, please contact the Volunteer Team on 01324 692000 or email info@cvsfalkirk.org.uk.
