Forth Valley Rape Crisis Centre is seeking a new Board of Directors. They will be hosting an Information Evening on Monday 24th August, 7-8.30pm, at the King Robert Hotel, Glasgow Road, Bannockburn, Stirling FK7 0LJ.
In order to help develop the new service they are looking for women to join their Board who:
- Are committed to supporting survivors of sexual violence
- Have skills in (or would like to develop skills in) leadership, management, finance, human resources, decision- making or fundraising
- Have 6-8 hours to spare per month
A Director would be required to contribute to the governance of the organisation including attending Board meetings and the AGM. Other duties may include representing the organisation at external events; or assisting with fundraising, networking or influencing work.
Previous experience is not necessary however; women with a good understanding of the financial and governance needs of a small charity, funding and income generation, and knowledge of employment, HR, business skills and entrepreneurship would be welcome.
Board members hold voluntary positions but expenses can be reimbursed, which include costs of transport to and from meetings and any training undertaken. New Board members will be given induction and support on appointment to the role.
If you are unable to attend the Information Evening please visit the Rape Crisis website where you will be able to find an application pack.
Closing date for applications is 9am on Tuesday 1st September. Informal interviews will take place on Thursday 3rd September 2015 from 6-9pm and the Board induction will take place two Saturdays in September; dates have yet to be confirmed
