“What Matters To You?” Day 2017 is Tuesday 6th June, aiming to encourage and support more meaningful conversations between people who provide health and social care services, those who use the services, and their families and carers.
CVS Falkirk are currently working towards the launch of the 2017 Third Sector Impact Survey, which seeks to measure the economic and social impact of the third sector. The survey will go live in mid-June.
The second Social Enterprise Census is now underway, and social enterprises in Scotland are encouraged to register their views and information via the online survey. The 2017 Census survey takes around 15 minutes to complete, and respondents will be entered into a prize draw, with 3 iPads available to win.
The Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR), the Charity Commission for England and Wales (CCEW) and the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland (CCNI) have published new joint guidance on what auditors and independent examiners must report to their relevant Regulator.
The Third Sector Community Transport Forum will meet on Thursday 1st June, 10am – 12pm at the CVS Falkirk office, Unit 6, Callendar Business Park, Falkirk, FK1 1XR. Jennifer Robertson, CVS Falkirk Development Officer for Social Enterprise will be attending the forum to talk about setting up a community transport scheme as a social enterprise, and the funding that is available.

The Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is holding an Engagement Event for parents and carers on Tuesday 30th May, 6pm – 8pm at Outpatients Department 3, Stirling Community Hospital, Livilands Gate, Stirling, FK8 2AU. The event’s main goal is to progress cooperation with parents, ultimately aiming to improve mental health outcomes for children and young people.
The ALLIANCE’s 2017 annual conference will take place on Tuesday 30th May at the Radisson Blu Hotel, 301 Argyle Street, Glasgow, G2 8DL. The conference, titled Change: The Health and Social Care Integration Event, will focus on putting people at the centre of decision making and will cover broad areas that affect people’s lives.
