Audit Scotland have published their draft British Sign Language (BSL) Plan, and are looking for feedback.
The plan details how Audit Scotland aims to promote and support BSL users in accordance with the BSL (Scotland) Act 2015, as well as setting out:
- actions they have already taken
- actions they propose to make over the 2018 – 2024 period
- how they plan to make their audit work and Audit Scotland as a whole more accessible
Once all responses are collated, Audit Scotland will consider the feedback received on this draft as they develop their final plan, which will be approved by the Audit Scotland Board in September 2018. They will then publish the final version of the plan on their website, in English and in BSL, by Wednesday 24th October.
They will also aim to progress the actions detailed in the plan and continuously monitor and improve the ways in which they can provide information in a range of formats, including BSL.
The deadline for responses is Tuesday 28th August.
