Addiction Support and Counselling (ASC) provide a range of counselling, community rehabilitation and support services for people affected by substance misuse, to help them on the road to recovery. Along with their partner agencies, they are committed to developing peer support throughout all local substance misuse.
They are currently recruiting a Substance Misuse Recovery Development Worker for the Forth Valley area.
The post is 35 hours a week, with a salary of £23,697 to £26,235. Applicants should have a recognised professional qualification at a minimum of SVQ level 4, a good understanding of, and familiarity with, what works to promote and sustain recovery, and be able to work flexibly and creatively in motivating, supporting and developing service users.
The successful candidate will be passionate about recovery and have a good track record in promoting peer support and recovery initiatives. They should be a self-starter, and a highly skilled communicator, as they will be pivotal in developing good links between treatment and support services, community based recovery initiatives and aftercare provision. They must also be comfortable in working with a range of stakeholders to develop and champion a robust recovery orientated system of care that has peer development at its heart.
