Addiction Support and Counselling (ASC) provide a range of counselling, community rehabilitation and support services for people affected by substance misuse, to help them on the road to recovery. Along with their partner agencies, they are committed to developing peer support throughout all local substance misuse.
They are currently recruiting an Addictions Worker for the Forth Valley area.
The post is 35 hours per week, with a salary of £23,697 to £26,235, and is based in Falkirk.
Applicants should have a recognised professional counselling qualification at a minimum of SVQ level 4, a recognised award in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and be familiar with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) Codes of Practice for employees and employers.
They should also be comfortable with multi-agency working, and familiar with tight deadlines, managing a busy caseload, and monitoring and recording all aspects of their work. Additionally, applicants should have a good understanding of and familiarity with recovery.
The successful candidate will be competent in undertaking assessments, participating in group work and working with service users to develop effective recovery plans.
