Addiction Support and Counselling (ASC) provide a range of counselling, community rehabilitation and recovery development services for people affected by substance misuse to help them on their recovery journey.
They are currently recruiting an Addictions Worker – Counsellor with the new Women’s Outreach Service, in partnership with their partner agency Circle, supporting women affected by substance misuse with have complex needs.
The post is 35 hours per week, with a salary of £24,289 – £26,891, and is based in Alloa, working across the Stirling and Clackmannanshire areas.
Applicants should have a recognised professional counselling qualification at a minimum of SVQ level 4, and be familiar with the SSSC Codes of Practice for employees and employers, as well as experienced in working with and supporting people with complex needs.
They should also be comfortable with multi-agency working, working flexibly and under tight deadlines, and be passionate and committed about recovery and the new service, with a good track record in providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions.
The successful candidate will be competent in undertaking assessments, managing a busy caseload and offering support on an outreach basis for women who struggle to engage with conventional service delivery.
