The Poverty Alliance has announced that Asad Rehman, Chief Executive of Friends Of The Earth England, Wales and Northern Ireland, will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Annual Challenge Poverty Week Lecture, taking place on Thursday 8 October 2026, 6pm – 8pm, at The Social Hub, 15 Candelriggs Square, Glasgow, G1 1TQ.
Part of Challenge Poverty Week 2026, the event is free to attend, and will include a Q&A with Asad, which will explore some of the key challenges to achieving social and economic justice for all. With nearly 40 years of experience in campaigning for environmental, social and racial justice, Asad will speak to attendees about how these topics are linked to each other, and to poverty.
