Adult Support and Protection are holding Public Protection Training on Tuesday 6th November, 9:15am – 12:30pm at the Camelon Education Centre, Abercrombie Street, Camelon, FK1 4HA.
The course aims to raise awareness of the need to protect people across their lifespan within the General Workforce (including volunteers, unpaid carers and foster carers), and to assist multiagency staff within residential and day services to develop and maintain awareness of protection issues and specifically to recognise, report and record actual or suspected issues of harm within formal and informal care settings.
On completion of this course, participants should be clear about the responsibilities that they have to contribute to the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and vulnerable adults, and how to raise any concerns that they may have if they feel that a child, young person or vulnerable adult may be at risk of abuse harm or neglect.
The training is aimed at staff who previously would have attended either the Level 2a Adult Protection Training or the basic Child Protection Half day training courses. Attendees must be able to commit to the full training course.
Places are limited, and booking is essential.
Alternatively, return the form by post: Falkirk Council, Camelon Social Work Services, 108b Glasgow Road, Camelon, FK1 4HS.
