Action on Hearing Loss Scotland is celebrating Volunteers Week in Falkirk by inviting local people interested in volunteering with the charity along to two events.
On Wednesday 3rd of June staff and volunteers will be at
- Forth Valley Sensory Centre, Redbrae Rd, Camelon, Falkirk from 10.00-12.00
- Forth Valley Community Hospital HUB, Main Entrance, Falkirk from 13.00-15.00
There are a number of volunteering roles to be filled such as being part of Action on Loss Scotland’s team that give information talks on hearing loss to groups, attend events or taking part in fundraising activities. Volunteers are given the appropriate training and support to undertake these roles.
Malaika Rose who is Action on Hearing Loss Scotland’s Communications and Information Officer said, “Volunteers play an important part in delivering information and support to people who are deaf or have hearing loss in Falkirk. Their dedication, knowledge and enthusiasm means people with questions or concerns about hearing loss can speak to them. We would be delighted to have a chat with anyone who is interested in becoming a volunteer even if you only have a couple of hours to offer every month.”
