Volunteer Sales Assistant
Brief description:
Enthusiastic and energetic people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life required to assist in our High Street retail store. Our objective is to assist in supporting the charitable activities of the Salvation Army.

The Salvation Army needs you!
We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic volunteers of all ages and backgrounds to work in our busy High Street shop. You will work as part of a highly motivated and dedicated team where every individual is respected and valued. You don't need to have any special skills as you will receive full on the job training and full support from our friendly team. In return for your commitment to us we can offer you the chance to meet lots of different people, make new friends, learn new skills and develop and enhance new and existing talents such as communication, teamwork, numeracy and general retailing skills.
Our store offers you the chance to do this as a valued member of our team whilst having fun.
Generally we look for volunteers who can commit to around 3-4 hours in a morning or afternoon Monday to Saturday.

Skills Required:
Trustworthy, a good communicator, a team worker, has an interest in the activity, experienced handling cash, dealing with the public, non-judgemental and experience of working a cash register would be useful.
Minimum age: 16
Takes place:
Flexible to suit volunteer.
Preferrably if the volunteer could do 4 hours.
Training and Support
Training supplied by store management team in all aspects of the operation. On-going support and supervision always available from team members in addition.
Expenses
20p per mile.
*Only if volunteering for 4 hours per day*
