Street and Store Collector (Fundraising)
Brief description: Make a difference in your local community by joining our successful team of dedicated fundraising volunteers. Be part of our team of volunteers collecting regularly at local supermarkets and shopping centres throughout the year.
Full description: Working with our fundraising volunteers you will collect money from local shoppers, record and bank income collected.
Did you know that £100,000 was raised from loose change last year from street and store collections? This year we are on target to reach £150,000, imagine how much more we could raise with your help. Every £410 we raise can pay for someone newly diagnosed as blind or partially sighted to attend a confidence-boosting 'Finding your Feet' weekend.
Skills Required: Friendly and outgoing personality, a team worker and be able to use your own initiative.
Minimum age: 18
Takes place: Flexible hours to suit volunteer.
Training and Support Welcome pack with general induction to RNIB.
Understanding Sight Loss DVD
Ongoing support and supervision from the volunteer manager.
Expenses Out of pocket travel, subsistence, stationery etc are reimbursed.
Production of receipts essential.
