As part of our Volunteers' Week Celebrations, we will once again be hosting a Volunteer Awards Ceremony. This year it will take place on the evening of Wednesday 8th June at the Macdonald Inchyra Grange Hotel, Polmont.

The Ceremony celebrates and rewards the great work that volunteers do in the Falkirk Council area as well as the organisations who involve and support them.

Last year over 300 people attended the Ceremony with over 250 people receiving an award from Provost Pat Reid. The event is free with tea, coffee and cake being served.

All you need to do is nominate your volunteers - we'll take care of the rest, including making sure that your volunteers are part of the celebrations.

Volunteers can be nominated to receive a certificate or a long service medal AND also for a category award:

- Volunteer of the Year
- Young Volunteer of the Year
- Sports Volunteer of the Year
- Volunteer Engaging Organisation of the Year
- Youth Volunteer Engaging Organisation of the Year
- Outstanding Achievement in Health and Wellbeing

To celebrate European Year of Volunteering 2011 we are delighted to announce two new awards: European Volunteer of the Year and Volunteering in Europe Award.
