Brief description:
The Rock Trust aim is to provide opportunities for young people to develop the personal, social and practical skills, as well as the sense of self worth necessary for independent adult life.
Full description:
To meet a young person who has been referred from through care and aftercare on a regular basis for up to 2 hours per week. Engage with the young person in social activities such as cinema trips, coffee or walking. Help them extend their social networks. Most importantly to be a positive role model and have fun.
Skills Required:
Non-judgmental, interest in working with young socially isolated people.
Minimum age: 16
Takes place:
Flexible
Training and Support
Induction to all relevant policies, 3-4 hours. Training which include, introduction to rock trust, homelessness, communication and health and safety. Ongoing supervision.
Expenses
We pay public transport rates and can reimburse weekly.
