Our data on the local third sector is due to be fully refreshed during 2013. We're undertaking a large exercise in collecting data from all third sector organisations that we can find and entering it into a new, custom-built database system.
This new database system, funded by the Big Lottery in Scotland, will then be connected to our website to ensure we provide the most up to date picture of the sector possible. It'll also ensure the Local Organisations section remains up to date and accurate.
We'll be contacting organisations over the coming months, as we continue to undertake this task.
Please complete the registration form and return to us by e-mail at info@cvsfalkirk.org.uk.
In the meantime, here are some of the basic facts and figures that we quote:
• Number of regular, adult volunteers in the Falkirk Council area: around 30,000
• No. of third sector organisations: around 900
• No. of people employed in the sector: around 1,100
National data
